The provision of Saurshtra University Act gives mandate to make arrangements for promoting health and general welfare of students and employees (including their family). To achieve this objective, University Health Center was started on 10th May 1969.

After 2008-09, Health Center spread its wings and picked up activities gradually. The Health Centre provides maximum consultation in specialized branches by inviting honorary Doctors, i.e. MD Skin, MD Medicine, MS Ortho, MS ENT, MS Optho., Dentist, Physiotherapist etc. The Health Centre also provides facilities for various tests like Blood Test, Urine Test, digital X-ray etc., and basic medicine for normal diseases likes fever, cough, cold, vomiting, etc. and treatment for indoor patients care.

Various medical camps for the benefit of students and employees are organized by the Health Centre. These are Blood Sugar, B.P. basal metabolic index, Lipid profile, Osteoporosis test, renal profile, work shop for breast cancer and cervical cancer, Cholesterol test etc.
