Introduction
Under the guidance and leadership of Prof. (Dr.) Utpal S. Joshi (Chief Patron), Honourable Vice Chancellor, Saurashtra University and Dr. R. G. Parmar (Patron), Registrar, Saurashtra University, the workshop was successfully organized.
The Department of Nanoscience and Advanced Materials at Saurashtra University organized a workshop on "RESCU & NANODCAL for Nanoelectronics and Nanomaterial Simulation." The workshop aimed to introduce advanced computational tools and techniques for simulating nanoelectronics and nanomaterials. The session was designed for students, researchers, and professionals in nanotechnology, offering hands-on training using cutting-edge software.
Prof. Dr. Bharat Kataria, Head of the Department of Nanoscience and Advanced Materials, emphasized the importance of simulation in applied physics, highlighting its crucial role in research and technological advancements. Dr. Jaysukh H. Markna introduced the speaker and provided insights into their expertise, giving an overview of the workshop's objectives. The event featured an insightful keynote address by Shri Anil Kumar Sharma, Managing Director of Impulse Technology, who shared valuable insights on various software tools for Density Functional Theory (DFT) calculations and simulations. Research students and faculty from other universities actively participated in the workshop, with a total of 50 attendees benefiting from the sessions.
