UGC sponsored workshop on Human Rights & Duty Education & Constituion

            The Department of Human Rights and I.H.L had organized four days UGC sponsored workshop on Human Rights & Duty Education on 23/06/2016 at Department of Human Rights, Saurashtra University.

          Dr. R. M. Dave, H.O.D.  Department of Human Rights & IHL, Dr. B. N. Manjaria, Dr. B. G. Maniar H.O.D. Department of Law, Dr. K. P. Joshipura, Professor, Department of Law, & Dr. A. H. Chauhan, Saurashtra University remained present. As many as 10 women delegates from Rajkot attended the said workshop.

        The number of students participated in the said workshop as on date 23/06/2016 were 140. The resource person on the said day was Dr. D. K. Raythatha, Professor of Delaware State University, Newark, Delaware, DE, and United States explained about the importance of fundamental duties in different spheres of life and society and at international level.  Dr. B. G. Maniar H.O.D. Department of Law, Saurashtra University explained about the importance of duties in sustaining humanhood. He further elaborated the article 51-A of the Constitution of India regarding Fundamental Duties of Citizens and its role in sustaining Humanhood. Dr. Varshaben Trivedi, of Pandhi Law College, Rajkot elaborated the duties of the citizens of India especially duties of students towards society and their importance in strengthening Human Rights. Dr. Khandelval, former H.O.D. of MBA Department, Saurashtra University, explained the need of human duties in maintaining peace and brotherhood in the society.
