UGC sponsored workshop on Human Rights & Duty Education

            The Department of Human Rights had organized four days UGC sponsored workshop on Human Rights & Duty Education from 20/06/2016 to 23/06/2016 by Department of Human Rights & IHL, Saurashtra University.

          The workshop was inaugurated by Hon’ble Vice Chancellor of Saurashtra University, Dr. Pratapsinh Chauhan, in the presence of Dr. R. M. Dave, HOD Department of Human Rights & IHL, Dr. B. N. Manjaria,  Dr. B. G. Maniar H.O.D. Department of Law, Dr. K. P. Joshipura, Professor, Department of Law, & Dr. A. H. Chauhan, Saurashtra University. On this occasion senior advocate Dr. Bhavna. K. Joshipura had expressed her views. As many as 10 women delegates from Rajkot attended the said workshop.

        The number of students participated in the said workshop as on date 20/06/2016 were 100. The resource person was Dr. B. G. Maniar H.O.D. Department of Law, Saurashtra University. He explained about the importance of duties in sustaining Human Rights. Further he elaborated the article 51-A of the Constitution of India regarding Fundamental Duties of Citizens and its role in sustaining Human Rights. Dr. Bhavnaben Joshipura elaborated the duties of the citizens of India and their importance in strengthening Human Rights.
