Department of Law

                The Department of Law was established in 1979. It has full-time faculties, besides practicing legal luminaries as visiting faculties. Department has been one of the first in the country to implement the new UGC Model Curriculum.

                The vision of the department is to nourish the demand in the field of Law. The mission of the department are 1.) To achieve excellence in teaching and research, 2.) To relate learning with the highest human values & 3.) To improve the quality of life in harmony with our heritage, culture and environment.                    

                The Department offers a two-year (4 Semester) LL.M. course with an Intake capacity of 3O seats (out of which 15 are self-financed Seats). The two specializations group offered here are Business Law and Constitutional Law. Besides LL.M., the Department offers self-finance PG Diplomas in Legal Process outsourcing, Forensic Science, Banking Law, Exim Laws with an intake of 15 students in each of these courses. Presently 16researchers are pursuing their doctoral work in the Department & 84 have been awarded their Ph.D.s till date.

                             The Department has its own 1.) Interactive Boards & Smart Boards, 2.) Computer Lab, 3.) Multimedia Projectors connected with Internet, 4.) Wi Fi, 5.) Legal Data Base – e-Jurix, 6.) Departmental Library with seating capacity of 20 students, 7.) Seminar Hall with seating capacity of 114 students/participants & 8.) Moot Court.
